Well, I returned yesterday from a whirwind trip to Tampa to scope out some housing options. It was a pretty frustrating hunt, but we narrowed it down to the neighborhood I want to be in/near and found one really great house. My realtor is going back to the house today to get some of my last questions answered and if all goes well I will be signing the lease for that one! Fingers crossed!
Now for the daunting task of packing up my life here in DC. It is definitely going to be a big adjustment moving from DC to Tampa. I have been in DC for so long, and have only been to Tampa to visit my grandparents a few times. Here's hoping I don't hate it.
Also...today is Cheupe's birthday. He turns 3 today, or 21 in human years. I with I had some sort of doggie beer to give him :) Instead, he'll have to enjoy watching me pack...womp womp.
I am planning to use to blog to document my relocation and my new experiences in Tampa once I arrive (in an attempt not to bombard my family with phone calls about all of the details which I know I would otherwise be bound to do). I am off for now, but should be back tomorrow with all the details of how my showings go of my current apartment. I am really hoping someone will sign a new lease beginning in October so I can leave scott-free! Wish me luck.
